Laurelwood District
Established in 2020, the Laurelwood District AVA is uniquely north facing and is heavily influenced by the winds blowing down from the Columbia Gorge. It is protected from coastal rains by the spine of the Chehalem Mountain Range resulting in lower rainfall. The AVA is defined solely by the presence of Laurelwood soils.
The Laurelwood District is a sub-AVA contained entirely within the Chehalem Mountains AVA. Its 975 acres are home to Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris.
